Closer Roberto Osuna has lost his arbitration case with the Toronto Blue Jays and will make $5.3 million in 2018, according to Bob Nightengale of USA TODAY.

Osuna and his agent had filed at $5.8 million.

The 22-year-old right-hander still earned a hefty raise from last year’s $552,400 base salary.

Osuna was an all-star in 2017, pitching to a 3.38 ERA and 1.74 FIP in 66 appearances. He registered 39 saves on the year, but also blew an MLB-high 10.

Starting pitcher Marcus Stroman is the only other Blue Jays player currently waiting for the arbitration process to play out. Stroman filed at $6.9 million while Toronto countered at $6.5 million.
