Plekanec picks up a milestone assist in a matinee game against Ottawa.

Czech centre Tomas Plekanec recorded his 600th career point on Sunday, after assisting on Artturi Lehkonen's second of the game against the Ottawa Senators at the Bell Centre.

After corralling a rebound, Plekanec made a sweet back-hand pass to a streaking Lehkonen, who was left with a wide-open net to score, giving Montreal a 3-1 lead.

Plekanec, 35, has spent his entire career with the Montreal Canadiens after being drafted in the third round of the 2001 NHL Entry Draft. He recorded his first NHL point on October 6, 2005 against the New York Rangers.

The centreman now has 19 points in 53 games this season.
