Three Leafs — Patrick Marleau, Auston Matthews, and Matt Martin — earned mentions in the National Hockey League Players’ Association player poll, which was released Thursday morning. Some 500 NHL players, representing all 31 teams, responded to the poll, which asked a variety of questions, ranging from toughest player to the player you’d start a franchise with.The results were graded by ranking the top five players in each category — and Matthews finished third in the category asking which player would you select to start a franchise with.
