A list of candidates is expected to include former Memphis coach David Fizdale and former Cleveland coach David Blatt, a second person with knowledge of the situation told USA TODAY Sports, who spoke on condition of anonymity because of the ongoing nature of the coaching search.

The Knicks, who ended their campaign on Wednesday night with a 110-98 win over Cleveland, missed the postseason for a fifth consecutive season. It's also the fourth consecutive season the Knicks have had 50 losses.

ESPN first reported Hornacek's firing.
