Love him or hate him, there's no denying that Tony Romo did a stellar job in his first season as an analyst for CBS.

Romo provided some spot-on in-game analysis, and even predicted how a few plays would unfold even before the ball was snapped.

There's no question that Romo, the former Dallas Cowboys quarterback, has a bright future ahead of him in the broadcast booth. Still, you can't help but wonder if the former QB hit his head one too many times on the turf during his playing days once you hear his prediction for Super Bowl LIII.

Charles Barkley faces comically long odds at celebrity golf tournament Charles Barkley faces extremely long odds to win this week’s American Century celebrity golf tournament, coming in at a comical 6,000-1 long shot. Edgewood Tahoe South has not proven to be a favorable course for Barkley’s questionable golf game. The NBA legend has come in last six times in 22 appearances, including last year.

Former NFL quarterback and current NFL analyst Tony Romo talks about various topics such as quarterbacks in the league and his transition to the broadcast

Tony Romo blows football fans away on the regular with a psychic-like ability to predict plays as an NFL television analyst, and now he' s making his boldest call yet. But there' s a third potential Super Bowl LIII contender Romo says shouldn't be overlooked.

Appearing on NFL Total Access on Wednesday, Romo had this to say about who he sees squaring off for the Lombardi Trophy.

"Thing about the NFL is things change pretty fast. Injuries happen, a lot of stuff happens, but, um… if I was picking right now, I'd probably go with Green Bay versus Jacksonville. That would be a tentative, rough guess here in the summer months."

The Packers are no surprise, considering many people see them as a favourite in the NFC if Aaron Rodgers comes back at 100%. The Jaguars pick, however, is a bit more puzzling.

Yes, they made it all the way to the AFC Championship Game and were nine minutes away from upsetting the Patriots and punching their ticket to the Super Bowl, but it's hard to think the Jags can repeat that success in 2018.

Tony Romo’ s early Super Bowl prediction is Packers vs. Jaguars. The Jaguars certainly boast a roster that could get to the Super Bowl . They almost did it last year and they’ve fixed many of the problems that held them back from putting the New England Patriots away in the AFC Championship

Tony Romo showed he could predict the future during his first season as an NFL broadcaster for CBS, but the New England Patriots probably hope his Always the gambler, Romo chose not to put the Pats in their fourth Super Bowl in five seasons, opting instead to predict the Jacksonville Jaguars will face

While their defense is stellar (they were second in overall defense last year, giving up just 281.6 yards per game), there is still the question of quarterback. Blake Bortles played admirably during the postseason, but you can never trust him to win a game for you, only manage it.

Jacksonville may have overachieved last year. And, while they won't regress to their old losing ways, I don't think Romo is right in his prediction.

Still, give Romo credit for going out on a whim.
