Woods came to the par-3 12th at 6-under par for the tournament, five shots behind a trio of leaders in the clubhouse, and hit a magical tee shot to 1-foot, 10-inches.

Woods' shot at 12 was the closest to the hole of anyone in the field by a wide margin on Friday, and he tapped in for an easy birdie.

Woods bogeyed the 14th after failing to get up an down from an awkward lie on the lip of a greenside bunker to fall back to 6-under.
