One year later, Blackberry withdrew completely from the smartphone market and has since concentrated on enterprise software and IoT solutions. As a licensee, TCL then produced a range of Android smartphones under the Blackberry name. In February 2020, however, the Chinese manufacturer announced that it would not extend the license agreement and would concentrate on its own brand in the future.
