'Jeopardy!' producer Richards named host; role for Bialik

'Jeopardy!' producer Richards named host; role for Bialik LOS ANGELES (AP) — After weeks of guest hosts on “Jeopardy!” that included celebrities from TV, sports and journalism, the daily syndicated quiz show chose its executive producer, Mike Richards, as the successor to beloved host Alex Trebek. But after fan backlash to a selection process that recently turned messy, producer Sony split the pie by naming another guest host, actor Mayim Bialik, as emcee for “Jeopardy!” prime-time and spinoff series, including a new college championship. In a nod to “Jeopardy!” devotees, longest winning-streak champion Ken Jennings will return as a consulting producer.

Indeed, from birth, the PlayStation project is fragile. The reason ? The damn character of his main defender, Ken Kutaragi, engineer at Sony. This one is not appreciated internally: after all, it has always been dreaming of launching a game console, an object that many of his colleagues consider Low-Tech, a child toy that does not have his place at Middle of highly technological products that have made Sony's reputation around the world. And his last anger weakens him a little more: he does not want to hear about the revolutionary design that is offered for the console control ... while the president of Sony himself approved him.

The design of the joystick is not the only obstacle that Sony meets. While the launch of the PlayStation approach, Kutaragi has not managed to find publishers who agree to create games for a new console. Gold without a valid game to propose, the console has no chance of seducing the public. It's time for Kutaragi to react, especially as Nintendo knows.
