The British star - who plays the role of Tahani Al-Jamil in the American TV series 'The Good Place' - thinks it's important to show imperfections.

Rex Tillerson came a little bit closer Thursday to saying what he actually thinks of President Trump.

The fired former secretary of state, who was reported while in office to have called Trump a “moron” (and declined to deny it), expounded on his thoughts on the president in a rare interview with CBS News’s Bob Schieffer in Houston.

It wasn’t difficult to read between the lines. Tillerson said Trump is “pretty undisciplined,” “doesn’t like to read” and repeatedly attempted to do illegal things. He didn’t call Trump a “moron,” but he didn’t exactly suggest Trump was a scholar — or even just a steady leader.

Tucker Carlson says Trump is ‘not capable’ and hasn’t kept his promises

Tucker Carlson says Trump is ‘not capable’ and hasn’t kept his promises During a visit to Switzerland, Tucker Carlson says Trump has failed to deliver on his goals and that the Republican Party "will die" without changes.

He does do illegal things , but also tries to do illegal things . Tillerson said a number of fascinating things in an interview that was frankly much more candid than In a traditional sense Rex Tillerson might have been known from an experience staff member of Trump and vetted/interviewed by others.

Tillerson said Trump is "pretty undisciplined ," " doesn ' t like to read ," and repeatedly attempted to do illegal things . Perhaps the most damning quote came when Tillerson talked about how Trump as president regularly attempted to do things that violated the law.

“What was challenging for me coming from the disciplined, highly process-oriented Exxon Mobil corporation,” Tillerson said, was “to go to work for a man who is pretty undisciplined, doesn’t like to read, doesn’t read briefing reports, doesn’t like to get into the details of a lot of things, but rather just kind of says, ‘This is what I believe.’”

Tillerson said Trump believes that, rather than relying upon facts, he’s acting on his instincts. But he seemed to suggest that it resulted in impulsiveness.

“He acts on his instincts; in some respects, that looks like impulsiveness,” Tillerson said. “But it’s not his intent to act on impulse. I think he really is trying to act on his instincts.”

(Notice Tillerson doesn’t say Trump isn’t being impulsive; he’s saying he isn’t trying to be impulsive.)

Schiff: Trump may face ‘real prospect of jail time’

Schiff: Trump may face ‘real prospect of jail time’ Schiff: Trump may face ‘real prospect of jail time’ Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) on Sunday said that President Trump might "face the real prospect of jail time" after prosecutors indicated last week that he directed illegal payments during his 2016 presidential campaign."There's a very real prospect that on the day Donald Trump leaves office, the Justice Department may indict him. That he may be the first president in quite some time to face the real prospect of jail time," he said on CBS's "Face the Nation." .

Perhaps the most damning quote came when Tillerson talked about how Trump as president regularly attempted to do things that violated the law.

“So often, the president would say, ‘Here’s what I want to do, and here’s how I want to do it,’" Tillerson said, according to the Houston Chronicle, “and I would have to say to him, 'Mr. President, I understand what you want to do, but you can’t do it that way. It violates the law.”

Tillerson also appeared to take a shot at Trump’s chief method of communication, Twitter.

“I will be honest with you: It troubles me that the American people seem to want to know so little about issues — that they are satisfied with a 128 characters,” Tillerson said.

He was quick to say that wasn’t meant as a shot at Trump, but our political system more broadly. Next to his other comments, though, it wasn’t difficult to see he was lumping Trump in with all those Americans who aren’t intellectually curious enough about policy and the actual details of American government.

Vancouver mayor warns illegal pot shops to legalize or 'move along'.
Vancouver's mayor says he's giving the city's 28 illegal cannabis dispensaries time to transition to after the B.C. Supreme Court ordered them to cease operations on Friday. But Mayor Kennedy Stewart emphasized the decision makes it clear to those operating illegally that it's time to move on — and the city has the legal authority to force them to. "We were really waiting for this court case to reach its conclusion," Stewart said from his home Sunday.
