Trump ’ s Doral G - 7 Self-Deal Is Worthy of Impeachment All on Its Own. The president’s emoluments violations strike at the heart of the Constitution ’s protections against executive malfeasance. Yet the courts are ill-equipped to redress Trump ’ s seemingly endless abuses of office.

Mulvaney promoted Trump Doral from behind the White House briefing podium as “far and away the best physical facility for this meeting” and “perfect for “The president is now officially using the power of his office to help prop up his struggling golf business. There appears to be no bottom to President

We’ve had presidents who were used by members of their own family for personal gain, like Ulysses S. Grant.

We’ve had presidents who stocked their Cabinet with greedy, self-serving mediocrities who took advantage of the public trust, like Warren G. Harding.

We’ve had presidents who swore to “preserve, protect and defend” the Constitution, only to then abuse it, like Richard Nixon.

And we’ve had presidents who, thanks to a presumptive sense of entitlement, lived slimy private lives, using countless women before tossing them aside — Harding again, plus John F. Kennedy and Bill Clinton.

Trump labels Tlaib 'a despicable human being'

Trump labels Tlaib 'a despicable human being' President Trump attacked Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.) on Twitter on Sunday after she said in an interview that House Democrats have discussed jailing allies of the president who refuse to comply with congressional subpoenas."A despicable human being!" Trump wrote in a tweet that also retweeted commentary on the matter by White House social media director Dan Scavino, who accused Democrats of planning a "coup."A despicable human being!"A despicable human being!" Trump wrote in a tweet that also retweeted commentary on the matter by White House social media director Dan Scavino, who accused Democrats of planning a "coup.

Trump “will not be profiting here,” Mulvaney claimed, naturally failing to explain how that would work, or when a man who once declared, “My whole life I’ve been greedy, greedy, greedy” received a personality transplant. Okay, but what about the optics of hosting the event, an insolent Fox News reporter asked.

QUEBEC CITY — President Trump upended two days of global economic diplomacy late Saturday, refusing to sign a joint statement with America’ s allies, threatening to escalate his trade war on the country’ s neighbors and deriding Canada’ s prime minister as “very dishonest and weak.”.

President Donald Trump falls into every single sleazy category, squarely and shamelessly. Just Thursday, we learned that he'll hold next year's Group of Seven meeting (with leaders of Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan and the United Kingdom) at his own Doral golf resort in Miami.

It’s the latest example of how Trump, who never divested from his businesses, continues to make millions from them. It’s also the latest reminder that he constantly violates the Constitution’s emoluments clause, which is supposed to ban presidents from accepting money from foreign governments. This while the House is in the middle of an impeachment inquiry and there are two lawsuits pending over the emoluments clause.

Macabre Video of Fake Trump Shooting Media and Critics Is Shown at His Resort

Macabre Video of Fake Trump Shooting Media and Critics Is Shown at His Resort A video depicting a macabre scene of a fake President Trump shooting, stabbing and brutally assaulting members of the news media and his political opponents was shown at a conference for his supporters at his Miami resort last week. Several of Mr. Trump’s top surrogates — including his son Donald Trump Jr., his former spokeswoman Sarah Huckabee Sanders and the governor of Florida, Ron DeSantis — were scheduled to speak at the three-day conference, which was held by a pro-Trump group, American Priority, at Trump National Doral Miami. Ms. Sanders and a person close Mr. Trump’s son said on Sunday that they did not see the video at the conference.

A "hot mic" catches Donald J. Trump bragging in vulgar terms about making sexual advances toward a married woman , aggressively kissing and groping other

Trump signaled his plans for Doral while attending the most recent G - 7 summit two months ago in France, calling his club in Miami a "great Steve Cohen, D-Tenn., chairman of the subcommittee on Constitution , Civil Rights and Civil Liberties. The move comes as the Trump campaign has been

"This is unbelievable," said Noah Bookbinder, executive director of Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington, which filed one of those suits, speaking for much of America.

Grifters through the ages

Grant was an honest man, yet under his nose, his own brother-in-law and two other grifters tried to corner the gold market. The financial panic that followed was called “Black Friday.” Then there was the “Whiskey Ring Scandal,” in which the president’s own secretary played a role in attempting to defraud the government of millions.

And Trump? Unlike other presidents, he never bothered to place his assets in a blind trust. Instead he allows his family to run his trust, and he remains its one and only beneficiary.

Unconstitutional: G-7 at Trump's Doral resort? The original sin of this presidency is failure to divest

And the emoluments clause hasn’t stopped diplomats, representatives of government-owned businesses and other foreign visitors from buying his properties and running up big tabs at his resorts and hotels. That's stuffing cash, albeit indirectly, into Trump's pocket.

The guardrails are off the Trump presidency

The guardrails are off the Trump presidency Get over it. That apt mission doctrine for a presidency blazing with abuses of power, conflicts of interest and unhinged behavior is the work of White House acting chief of staff Mick Mulvaney, whose barn burner of a briefing sent a clear message.Get over it.

Donald John Trump (born June 14, 1946) is the 45th and current president of the United States. Before entering politics, he was a businessman and television personality.

Trump repeatedly has faced allegations of enriching himself by utilizing his business entities around the globe to house or host foreign dignitaries and "It' s a terrible decision by President Trump to put the G - 7 on a gulf course at his own hotel," Castro said at a campaign event in Des Moines, Iowa, on

Meantime, finger-pointing at Hunter Biden diverts media attention — a time-honored Trump tactic — from his own children's brazen exploitation of their father’s office. As Bloomberg's Stephanie Baker notes, they "have continued working with foreign business partners from Dubai to Indonesia and India while their father sits in the White House." First daughter Ivanka and hubby Jared Kushner raked in an estimated $82 million in 2017 alone, records show.

“Time and again,” notes the Los Angeles Times, “Trump’s children have blurred the lines of family, nation and business — essentially the charge the president makes against the Bidens.”

Fleecing the taxpayers

Perhaps you’ve heard of “Teapot Dome,” a huge oil reserve scandal involving Warren G. Harding’s Interior secretary, Albert Fall. Fall was convicted of accepting a bribe and went to prison. Meanwhile, Harding’s Veterans secretary, Charles Forbes, looted the 2019 equivalent of $2.8 billion in a string of shady deals; he, too, was convicted of bribery and went to prison.

No one in Trump’s revolving-door Cabinet has ripped off taxpayers on that scale, but many have fleeced we the people for everything from private air travel (former Health and Human Services Secretary Tom Price and Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin), running up big tabs in Europe for spouses (former Veterans Affairs Secretary David Shulkin), and ripoffs for everything from new office doors (ex-Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke), dining room furniture (Housing Secretary Ben Carson) and more. Then there is fellow swamp monster Scott Pruitt, whose list of grifting while he headed the Environmental Protection Agency was almost as long as the list of clean water and clean air regulations he helped the president gut.

Trump says his Doral resort will no longer host G-7 after backlash

Trump says his Doral resort will no longer host G-7 after backlash President Trump on Saturday said he would no longer host next year's Group of Seven (G-7) summit at his Doral resort after intense backlash from Democrats, ethics watchdogs and some Republican lawmakers. The reversal came two days after the White House announced that Trump National Doral near Miami would host the gathering of world leaders next June. The decision was widely panned by critics who viewed it as a brazen move for the president to enrich his family brand.

Trump National Doral is the one and only possible place to host the Group of Seven summit, and it And now , Doral will host the G - 7 ! Obviously, it is the best spot. To stay at a place that might possibly allegedly just Women ’ s haircuts that cost the right amount. How to do workplace discrimination right.

President Donald Trump made his case for funding for a border wall on the US-Mexico border during a national address to the nation from the White House Oval

And need I mention that Trump’s campaign chief (Paul Manafort) and first national security adviser (Michael Flynn) are now convicted felons? And that one of his top Oval Office aides (Rob Porter) had to leave after it became known that not one but both of his former spouses accused Porter of physical and verbal abuse.

Even a president as shameless as Trump has had to ditch many of these let-them-eat-cake mediocrities to appease critics. Isn't this the guy who bragged that he hires only the very best? And his base still buys this claptrap.

Trampling the Constitution

We all know what Nixon did. And Trump? It goes well beyond ignoring the emoluments clause to monetize the presidency.

Trump took an oath to “preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.” But just this month he publicly invited an adversary, China, to interfere in the 2020 presidential election. He has attacked the First Amendment by trying to ban reporters who ask unpleasant questions from the White House and suggesting that TV networks he dislikes lose their broadcast licenses. He has suggested cutting corners on due process for illegal immigrants, a violation of the Fifth Amendment. He has suggested ending birthright citizenship, a violation of the Fourteenth Amendment.

Mick Mulvaney's bad week just got worse

Mick Mulvaney's bad week just got worse Mick Mulvaney's bad week just got worseMick Mulvaney’s week went from bad to worse on Sunday, as he again tried to explain why President Donald Trump and the administration had withheld aid to Ukraine for weeks — one of the Democrats’ central questions in their impeachment inquiry.

“What about Doral ?” Trump said, raising the name of his Florida resort that is reportedly facing declines in revenue, according to a description of the meeting Now the White House has concluded that the Trump National Doral Miami golf resort is the “best place” in the country to hold the annual summit

At a rally in Buffalo, Donald Trump unleashed so many hand gestures and motions that we lost count. But we did him the favor of compiling and naming them

“Preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States?” Rubbish. Trump only wants to bother with the parts that are convenient to him.

All those women, all that sex

Harding was so sleazy that — as president — he once had sex with one of his mistresses in Central Park. He had an illegitimate daughter with one woman, a long affair with another who was suspected of being a German agent during World War I, and trysts in the Oval Office itself. Kennedy's voluminous affairs were beyond sleazy. One with the girlfriend of a Mafia kingpin, and another with a woman believed to be an East German spy, even exposed him to potential blackmail.

Then there is our most recent philanderer in chief, Bill Clinton, whose lies about an affair with a White House intern got him impeached. Clinton’s liaisons showed him to be impulsive and sexually reckless in way that left a stain (literally and figuratively) on the presidency.

Making Nixon look good: Donald Trump is much worse than Richard Nixon. He may even have committed treason.

Trump’s infidelities fall short of Harding and Kennedy. But sleaze is sleaze: He has cheated on all three wives and, in the case of porn star Stormy Daniels, did it right after his third wife, Melania, gave birth to their son, Barron. And at last count, no fewer than 25 women accuse him of either “misconduct” or flat-out assault. It's certainly obvious why evangelicals continue to call Trump a good, God-fearing Christian, isn't it?

Trump, who even lies about the weather, says every single one of these women is making it all up. Trump, as you know, is a Boy Scout and would never lay so much as an orange finger on anyone. And that “Access Hollywood” tape that surfaced in 2016, in which he bragged about assaulting women? Fake. Sure.

Trump made at least 20 false claims in angry, rambling Cabinet monologue

Trump made at least 20 false claims in angry, rambling Cabinet monologue President Donald Trump delivered a blistering and rambling monologue to the journalists he allowed into his Cabinet meeting for more than 70 minutes on Monday. His press secretary, Stephanie Grisham, later tweeted, "I hope we see honest reporting from today's mtg."We can honestly tell you that Trump's remarks were highly dishonest.

Fox News legal analyst Andrew Napolitano said Thursday that President Trump ' s decision to host next year's Group of Seven ( G - 7 ) summit at one of his golf properties in Florida was a "direct" and "profound" violation of the Constitution 's Emol.

President Donald Trump delivered an hour-long speech to Congress Tuesday night, surprising pundits who expected him to clock in with a shorter address.

A grifting family. A sleazy what’s-in-it-for-me Cabinet. Trampling on our beloved Constitution. And all these women. All the boxes, checked.

Trump Lawyer Says Even if He Shot Someone on Fifth Ave., He Can’t be ProsecutedThe judges on a three-member panel in Manhattan peppered a lawyer for Mr. Trump with questions, expressing skepticism about the president’s argument that he was immune from criminal investigation. A lower court judge earlier this month rejected Mr. Trump’s claim, which has not previously been tested in the courts.
