CINCINNATI (WXIX) – A Call for Action
In the aftermath of a recent brawl that captured national attention, Jeff Ruby’s Steakhouse along with the Cincinnati Downtown Restaurant Coalition are pushing for accountability and immediate action.
Posted on Tuesday via Jeff Ruby’s Cincinnati Instagram account, the statement reflects the sentiments of CEO Britney Ruby Miller, who expressed deep sadness and anger towards the violence, describing the video as “disturbing.”
The Downtown Restaurant Coalition represents thousands of local employees and serves numerous customers daily, highlighting their vested interest in the city’s well-being.
Within the post, they expressed a strong desire for clear commitments and timely responses from the city’s leaders.
Additionally, in a Monday briefing, Cincinnati Police Chief Teresa Theetge reported that over-serving alcohol contributed to the late-night disturbance. Although the new Roving task force was present until 2 a.m., the incident occurred shortly after 3 a.m.
