A dad from Florida is facing some serious legal trouble after he tried to stage a phony drug deal to have words with the guy who sold a THC vape cartridge to his teenage daughter.
On November 16, 40-year-old Alan Olson drove to a Circle K gas station in Volusia County under the guise of buying more weed-related goodies. However, things quickly escalated, turning his little plan into a full-blown confrontation.
According to the documents from his arrest, Olson confronted the alleged dealer about his daughter, brandishing a handgun, and even threatened the man’s life. Understandably, the dealer was scared sick and took off, causing a scene by running a red light and crashing into another car. Police reported that Olson proceeded to mock the driver after the accident.
After the dust settled, Olson returned home and, stressed out, had a panic attack. Following this, he and his wife decided to head back to the Circle K to talk to the cops after their daughter received a message from the dealer, saying that “her father was going to jail for a while.”
Volusia County Sheriff Michael Chitwood weighed in on the incident, saying, “I get it. I understand the anger was there, but that is not how you do business; that’s how you get yourself in more trouble.”
Olson has since been released on bail and is slated to appear in court for his arraignment on December 18.
