The excitement was palpable at MetLife Stadium on Thursday night as the Giants celebrated a well-deserved victory.

With an impressive performance from quarterback Jaxson Dart, the Giants scored a 34-17 win against the Eagles, marking their second victory of the season. Rookie standout Cam Skattebo was a key player, racking up an impressive 98 yards and three touchdowns on 19 carries.

Thanks to his stellar game, Skattebo earned himself a spot on the postgame show on Prime Video, a dream for any rookie. If you’ve caught the Thursday Night Football broadcasts, you’ll know exactly where this is headed.

As Dart concluded the interview, he made a humorous suggestion to Ryan Fitzpatrick, a former NFL quarterback now working as an analyst. “I’ve noticed Fitz likes to take his shirt off,” Dart joked, referencing the frequent shirtless moments during broadcasts. “If you do that, Skat will join in!”

Skattebo couldn’t help but smile and nod along, while Fitzpatrick seemed a bit hesitant. However, the 42-year-old reluctantly started unbuttoning his Hawaiian shirt. The energy was building!

“Skatteboooooo!” Fitzpatrick shouted into the mic just before launching into a chest bump with the Giants rookie.

“He’s amazing, truly genuine! Although I’d call him a lovable idiot,” said Giants teammate Gunner Olszewski in an ESPN interview earlier this week. “He doesn’t play it safe at all. While most rookies are starstruck in the league, for him, it’s just another day on the field.”

As the Giants improve to 2-4, they now look forward to a much-needed 10-day break before their Week 7 matchup against the Broncos in Denver. A win there could reignite New York’s chances for an NFC playoff run—and surely we’ll witness even more of Skattebo’s antics!
