Clayton Kershaw, a true icon of the Los Angeles Dodgers, wrapped up his baseball career after the 2025 season, leaving a lasting legacy.
After 18 incredible seasons donning the Dodger Blue, Kershaw went out on a high note by leading his team to a third World Series victory. Talk about a perfect send-off!
Fast forward to just a couple of months after celebrating this glorious win: Kershaw, now 37, has exciting news on the personal front. He and his wife, Ellen, welcomed their fifth child, a beautiful baby girl.
Sharing the moment on Instagram, he announced: “Meet Chloe Peach Kershaw, who joined our crew on December 19th! She’s perfect and her brothers and sister can’t get enough of her. We are incredibly thankful for this precious addition!” Such a sweet way to share the news!
Not too long before this announcement, Kershaw surprised fans during a Father’s Day game with the San Francisco Giants by revealing the baby’s gender: another girl was on the way.
During the ESPN broadcast, Kershaw shared, “We did a gender reveal today. We’re welcoming our fifth baby—a girl! Now we’ll have two bookend girls with our three boys. This Father’s Day has been incredibly special for us.”
Although he’s only just started his retirement journey, Dodgers president Andrew Friedman has already suggested a potential role for Kershaw within the organization. Kershaw commented on this offer, saying, “He mentioned I could hang out, which sounds great. This organization is special to me—clearly, they won’t need my help to win championships—but I’d love to be involved in any way I can down the road.”
For now, Kershaw’s focus is centered on being a dad to his growing family. “Right now, my main priority is welcoming this fifth child and embracing my role as a father. Honestly, I don’t see any full-time jobs on the horizon for me just yet,” he concluded.
