Dolly Parton Delays Las Vegas Concerts Due to Health Issues

Unfortunately, it looks like Dolly Parton will not be blazing the stage in Las Vegas as anticipated this December. The country music icon has announced a delay in her highly awaited concert series, “Dolly: Live in Las Vegas,” which was initially set for December 2025. Now, fans will have to wait until September 2026 to catch her show at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace.

In a heartfelt message posted on her social media this past Sunday, Parton shared that she’s facing some “health challenges.” She candidly explained that her doctors have recommended she undergo a few procedures. She humorously noted, “I guess it’s time for my 100,000-mile check-up, but not the usual visit to my plastic surgeon!”

“I want to be honest with you all and let you know that I need to postpone my upcoming Las Vegas shows. I won’t be able to rehearse and put on the spectacular performance you deserve,” she added. Dolly wants her audience to enjoy the best version of her shows, so she’s taking the necessary time to get everything ready for them. While she can still work on various projects from Nashville, she feels she needs more time to prepare.

Dolly, who is 79, reassured her supporters that this postponement is not a sign of retirement: “Don’t worry, God hasn’t asked me to quit just yet! He might just be telling me to take it slow for now so that I’ll be ready for some more amazing adventures with all of you. Thank you for your understanding!”

Recently, fans had grown concerned when she missed an announcement for a new attraction at her beloved amusement park, Dollywood, due to a troublesome kidney stone.

Dolly launched Dollywood back in 1986 in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, and has since been closely connected to its operations, often showing up for new rides’ openings or treating visitors to impromptu performances.

It’s not uncommon for Dolly to miss events, but delaying her much-anticipated return to Las Vegas—nearly three decades since her last long stint there—has definitely raised some eyebrows. Nevertheless, she remains optimistic about getting back to performing again soon.

For those who purchased tickets for the December 2025 shows, here are the rescheduled dates:

  • Thursday, Dec. 4, 2025, is now Thursday, Sept. 17, 2026
  • Saturday, Dec. 6, 2025, is now Saturday, Sept. 19, 2026
  • Sunday, Dec. 7, 2025, is now Sunday, Sept. 20, 2026

This postponement leaves fans eagerly awaiting their chance to experience Dolly’s class and talent in Vegas next year!
