The social media buzz includes his announcement alongside an image showcasing **Jason Sudeikis** hanging out at a local eatery with co-stars **Jeremy Swift** (Leslie Higgins), **Hannah Waddingham** (Rebecca Welton), and **Juno Temple** (Keeley Jones).
Curious locals have spotted **production trucks** parked outside of **Gates BBQ** in **Midtown**, sparking speculation that some of the filming might take place inside this beloved spot.
In a recent video shared by Apple TV, **Beatrice Hooker**, a supervisor at Gates, expressed her excitement about having a Hollywood production in their backyard. “They came here and enjoyed our BBQ as part of the scene,” Hooker shared. She also hinted that fans might catch a glimpse of her on screen. “I was the little waitress lady circulating, chatting with everyone. It was a blast!”
Many in Kansas City are buzzing with anticipation about what’s to come from this filming. **Mary Culbertson**, a resident of **Blue Springs**, commented that this is a thrilling diversion from daily life. She received a letter notifying her that production would be happening nearby and highlighted that filming could involve some temporary road closures and possible neighborhood changes.
“It’s really crucial to respect their space while they work,” Culbertson added. “If you spot them around, check it out but keep your distance. There is a lot of effort that goes into creating this magic!”
Production pick up comes a few weeks after **Blue Springs and Lee’s Summit** residents also got similar announcements of filming slated for July. Plans are in motion with special permits filed for these areas to accommodate the production.
Local police in Blue Springs will help manage traffic amid the scheduled shoot days, keeping everything flowing smoothly.
