LONDON (AP) — The NFL is shaking things up for its international outings by introducing halftime performers, adding an extra layer of excitement comparable to mini-Super Bowls.

This Sunday, British rapper Giggs is set to electrify the crowd during the halftime show at the clash between the New York Jets and the Denver Broncos at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

“Being part of the London Games is a monumental moment for me,” Giggs stated. “It’s been an incredible journey with my music, and to have the opportunity to share that moment with my city and the NFL fans is something I feel really proud of.”

His 2007 hit “Talkin’ da Hardest” remains a venerable anthem, beloved by his fans. Players from the Cleveland Browns were introduced to Giggs’ work last week and seemed to enjoy it when they heard it played.

Giggs has collaborated with acclaimed artists such as Drake, 21 Savage, Ed Sheeran, and Dave, adding to his impressive portfolio.

Just last week, British artist Raye performed during a halftime show at Tottenham, delivering an exhilarating nearly seven-minute set that featured her popular track “Where is My Husband!” The Minnesota Vikings triumphed over the Cleveland Browns 21-17 in that game.

Moreover, British singer-songwriter Myles Smith headlined the halftime for the first-ever regular-season NFL match held in Ireland at Croke Park, where the Pittsburgh Steelers defeated the Vikings 24-21 just a fortnight ago.

Last month, Grammy winner Karol G performed in S o Paulo, Brazil, for the game when the Los Angeles Chargers took down the Kansas City Chiefs 27-21 in Corinthians Arena.

Looking ahead, Bad Bunny is scheduled to headline the Apple Music Super Bowl halftime show at Levi’s Stadium on February 8 in Santa Clara, California.

The NFL is pushing forward with ambitious international growth plans, meaning fans can expect even more thrilling performances in the future.

“We aim to deliver the best in sports and entertainment through these international games,” remarked Tim Tubito, senior director of global game presentation and entertainment at the NFL.
