During WWE’s ‘Saturday Night’s Main Event’ on December 13, Joe Hendry managed to amaze fans once again. However, a new viral TikTok has dropped some reality on how this surprise was pulled off. While it looked like Hendry appeared out of nowhere to confront The Miz, behind-the-scenes footage has pulled back the curtain on the trickery involved.

How Joe Hendry’s WWE Surprise Was Pulled Off

A TikTok clip from user Ringsidebeard gives us the lowdown on Hendry’s entrance. You can see the star crawling out from beneath the ring’s skirt right as his music started playing. He then set himself up perfectly, timing his dramatic entrance to match the audience’s cheers for that ‘surprise’ effect that came across well on TV.

This segment wasn’t just entertainment; it was a jab at how Hendry was left out of the intense “Last Time Is Now” tournament. The Miz had the spotlight complaining about his place, when R-Truth came in to drop some truth on him. Truth revealed a slip of paper exposing The Miz for robbing Hendry’s spot in the tournament. When The Miz read the name aloud, it triggered Hendry’s catchy theme music, setting the stage for his grand (or sneaky) entrance.

As Hendry appeared, The Miz panicked and barked at WWE production to mute the music, exclaiming he was fed up with both Hendry and Truth. The A-Lister tried to jump on Henrdy before he even got in the ring, but that plan crashed and burned. Hendry wasn’t having it, throwing The Miz around with a big Fallaway Slam. The segment wrapped up with Hendry and R-Truth striking Joe’s signature pose while the DC crowd cheered them on.

Joe Hendry’s Moment in the Spotlight

The evening took a different vibe when John Cena ultimately lost in an emotional match with Gunther; however, Hendry’s moment provided a much-needed laugh. His ability to connect with the audience highlighted that he stands strong, whether in serious matches or comedic segments.

Now riding high from this spotlight, Hendry has his eyes set on the next event. He is lined up for the December 16 ‘NXT’ episode in a crucial Fatal 4-Way match against Dion Lennox, Leon Slater, and Myles Borne. The winner will call themselves the Number One Contender for the NXT Championship, currently held by Oba Femi. Should he snag a win on Tuesday, he could be in line for a title shot at ‘New Year’s Evil.’
