LeBron James’ remarkable journey of scoring 10 or more points in 1,297 consecutive NBA games has just hit a major turning point. The Los Angeles Lakers emerged victorious with a tight score of 123-120 against the Toronto Raptors, marking the end of this long-standing achievement.

In this game, James, now 40, managed to score only eight points but showcased his passing skills with 11 assists, including a key pass to Rui Hachimura for the game-winning shot at the buzzer.

“It’s all about playing the game the right way,” commented James, who continues to play at a high level in his incredible 23rd season in the league.

He further elaborated, “Making the right play has always been my approach to the game.”

It’s worth noting that James hadn’t failed to hit double digits since January 2007, surpassing Michael Jordan’s record by an impressive 431 games.

Throughout the match, he had a challenging night in terms of shooting accuracy, hitting just four out of 17 attempts, including missing all five of his shots from beyond the arc.

With star player Luka Doncic unavailable for personal reasons, Austin Reaves stepped up beautifully, performing a double-double feat with 44 points and 10 assists, leading the Lakers to victory.

This past March, James made history again by becoming the first player to surpass the 50,000 points mark in combined NBA regular season and playoff games.
