Penta Faces Severe Injury on Raw, Impacting Last Time is Now Tournament and AAA Plans

The Last Time is Now tournament has been a thrilling display of both veteran and new talents fighting for the chance to take on John Cena in his farewell match for WWE. However, the tournament has already seen its share of unfortunate injuries, the most recent one happening on Raw, where Penta suffered a serious injury that will likely impact the rest of his year—and beyond.

Penta Injured During Match with Solo Sikoa

Penta was in the ring battling Solo Sikoa this past Monday. Early in the match, he attempted a move on the outside, but it didn’t go as planned, and he landed awkwardly. Despite his efforts to press on, Penta could be seen struggling, and commentator Alicia Taylor soon reported that he was unable to continue. Early assessments suggest he sustained a shoulder injury similar to one that has sidelined Liv Morgan for several months.

While it remains unclear whether Penta would have made it further in the Last Time is Now tournament, it’s notable that he was scheduled for an upcoming AAA event where he was set to team up with his brother Rey Fenix for the first time since both joined WWE back in April 2025. Fans have long expressed their hope to see the brothers reunite, even as Fenix has been making waves on SmackDown with various tag partners while Penta has quickly risen as a prominent singles competitor since joining WWE in January.

It’s truly unfortunate to see Penta’s rookie year cut short by this injury. We send our best wishes for a swift recovery and look forward to seeing him back in action by 2026.
