Post Malone got really real during an interview with GQ, talking about his journey as a dad. He welcomed his adorable three-year-old daughter with his ex-fiancée Hee Sung “Jamie” Park back in May 2022.
Post Malone’s Take on Fatherhood
Describing fatherhood as “super sweet,” the star known for “Tribute to Nirvana” shared that he likes to take it “one day at a time.” He humorously pointed out, “Kids can be little troublemakers, but they’re also so beautiful.”
He added, “Honestly, being a dad means just going day by day. We’re both figuring it out as we go. I have no clue what I’m doing, and she’s just exploring… It’s the most amazing experience I’ve ever had. I can’t believe how lucky I am to be a dad. It’s an incredible feeling!”
Daughter Takes After Dad with Musical Talent
Moving on to talk about his mini-me, Malone shared some of her interests. “She’s obsessed with Paw Patrol and can’t get enough of the whole ‘Pup Pup Boogie.’ She also digs Pororo, a K-drama penguin character that sings super catchy songs. I might borrow some of those tunes someday—hopefully, it won’t get me into any trouble!”
It turns out his little girl is already embracing her dad’s love for music. “She’s a huge fan of George Strait and loves that steel guitar sound, which makes me really happy. She’s got a hilarious dancing style too,” he shared. Malone recounted a funny memory: while on tour with Jelly Roll, his daughter was asked who sings better, Jelly Roll or her dad. Her immediate response? “Jelly Roll.” “And I know she’s just messing with me!” he laughed.
Calling her “hilarious,” Malone chuckled as he recounted another playful exchange: “She often tells me, ‘I love you.’ And I tease her by asking, ‘How much?’ Her answer? ‘A little.’ Then she comes back at me with ‘Oh, you little troublemaker.’ It always cracks me up!”
Post ended on a loving note, describing his daughter as a spectacular presence in his life: “My love for her is absolutely unstoppable. She’s honestly the most beautiful soul ever. Sometimes I feel a bit undeserving of someone so amazing in my life, but I’m just so grateful she’s here.”
