Roman Reigns Meets His Lookalike Jason Momoa on Street Fighter Set

Estimated read time 2 min read

Since breaking into the WWE scene, Roman Reigns has ruled professional wrestling and is now setting his sights on Hollywood. A recent highlight was his encounter with Jason Momoa on the set of the new Street Fighter film, where their striking resemblance truly stole the show.

Both Reigns and Momoa share an impressive stature and look, complete with long hair, beards, and a shared Samoan heritage. In a past chat with Chris Van Vliet, Momoa hilariously acknowledged the similarities that fans have been pointing out.

In the highly anticipated 2026 Street Fighter adaptation, Reigns takes on the role of “Akuma,” while the beloved Aquaman, Momoa, portrays “Blanka.” They’ll be joined by other notable faces, including Cody Rhodes and Hirooki Goto, proving that the film is a real must-see for wrestling enthusiasts.

As his WWE schedule becomes more part-time, it seems Reigns is catching the acting bug, similar to others who’ve made the leap from wrestling to film. Before 2025, his Hollywood experience was limited to a minor appearance in Hobbs and Shaw. But this year marked a shift, as he featured in The Pickup alongside Eddie Murphy and lent his voice to Zebro Zebraxton in Disney’s upcoming Zootopia 2. If things keep going this way, he might just follow in the successful footsteps of The Rock, Batista, and John Cena.

The Street Fighter movie is set to hit theaters on October 16, 2026, and will boast a remarkable cast that includes Noah Centino, Callina Liang, Andrew Koji, David Dastmalchian, Eric Andre, 50 Cent, Andrew Schulz, and Alexander Volkanovski among many others.
