Sophie Turner Calls Kissing Ed Stark a ‘Vile’ Experience in New Horror Flick

Sophie Turner opened up about her less-than-pleasant experience of kissing Kit Harington during filming for their new film, labeling the act as ‘vile.’ This awkwardness is understood perfectly, seeing as they played brother and sister—Jon Snow and Sansa Stark—on Game of Thrones for eight seasons.

In their latest project, a gothic horror flick titled The Dreadful, we find the action set in the tumultuous 15th century amidst the Wars of the Roses.

During an episode of Late Night with Seth Meyers on August 14, Turner reflected on her dual role not just as a star but also a producer of the film, during which she thought Harington would be an excellent fit for the male lead.

Given their long-standing friendship, she reached out to him with the script. Turner recalled his reaction, saying, He basically responded, ‘Yeah, let’s do it, but this is gonna be really f***ing weird, Soph.’

And puzzled, she responded, What is he referring to? It wasn’t until reading through the script that she realized the scenario’s awkwardness— kiss, kiss, sex, kiss, sex…’ At that moment, she thought, Oh, damn, that’s my brother.

Nevertheless, both actors agreed that the storyline was too compelling to pass up.

The talented star of X-Men and The Staircase mentioned on-set pals, We tried to shake it off, but during the first kissing scene, we both started to retch. Honestly, it was such a horrible experience. Definitely the worst kind of scene to film.

As for the plot of The Dreadful, it revolves around Anne (Turner) and her mother-in-law Morwen (Marcia Gay Harden), who find their secluded lives turned upside down when a figure from their past, portrayed by Harington, re-enters their lives.

In other news, recently, Sophie made waves on social media after responding to an Instagram commenter who suggested she’d forgotten about her two children. This was sparked by Turner’s night out at an Oasis concert, which drew a brazen comment under her photos: Lmfao, I think she’s forgotten that she has two kids.

Defending her parenting choices, Turner cleverly retorted: Oh, I’m sorry! Sometimes I forget that some people don’t have the ability to think for themselves. Just so you know… There’s this really cool thing called shared custody. Maybe they were, you know, with their dad that night?
