Danny O’Donoghue has made quite the bold statement about Taylor Swift: she’s essentially a superfan of his band, The Script.
This week, the frontman took to TikTok, sharing a heartwarming story from backstage during the Red Tour when he made a surprise appearance on stage in London to perform the duo’s hit “Breakeven.”
The video opens with him sitting on a rustic park bench, surrounded by greenery, and he kicks things off by saying, “Did you know that Taylor Swift is a fan of the band?”
He goes on to reminisce about a duet they did at the O2 arena, during which they dove into the finer points of songwriting. According to him, this led to Taylor revealing that one of her all-time favorite lines comes from one of The Script’s songs called “If You Ever Come Back.”
He shared the lyric: “I wish I could still wish it was over and I wish I could still give you a hard time.” Basically, it reflects that feeling of missing someone, even if that relationship wasn’t the best.
“I’m a die-hard Swiftie,” he wraps up. “But I believe Taylor might just be a Scripty!”

Fans were all in their feelings over this revelation, with one enthusiastically claiming, “my two worlds colliding???”

As you can imagine, quite a few fans are clamoring for a reunion! One person even imagined a new collaboration, suggesting Taylor’s “Right Where You Left Me” would perfectly blend with “The Man Who Can’t Be Moved.”
