Today’s Rumor Highlights:
- As reported by WrestleVotes Radio, Cardi B is officially hosting WWE SummerSlam, but interestingly, she’s only set to appear on the first night.
- Insider sources shared with WrestleVotes that Bianca Belair is getting ready for her comeback in WWE. She might even be medically cleared as soon as next week’s SmackDown episode instead of at SummerSlam this weekend.
- There’s a buzz around WWE considering putting the AAA Mega Championship on Dominik Mysterio. Reports suggest that both WWE and AAA are keen on making this happen, which would definitely hype up his appearances on Netflix.
- It seems Jelly Roll’s match at SummerSlam is just the beginning; WWE has wishes to bring him back for more matches as early as 2026!
- According to Wrestling Observer Radio’s very own Dave Meltzer, Vince McMahon has found himself mixed up in another car accident recently. Meltzer commented that it’s simply not in Vince’s nature to drive slowly.
- In regard to WWE Unreal, informants told Meltzer that the concept was to paint Triple H as a mastermind similar to Dana White, while casting the wrestlers as pieces controlled on a chessboard.
- On an interesting note, Meltzer also hinted that MJF is widely believed to beat Averno for the CMLL World Light Heavyweight Championship tonight in Arena Mexico. The future plans include MJF defending the title against Mistico – although that likely won’t occur at AEW Forbidden Door in London.
- As per a report from Deadline, Zelina Vega has linked up with Prototype Talent Agency, a team that also handles the careers of Cody Rhodes, Bubba Ray Dudley, and Daddy Ass.
- In a recent episode of his Grilling JR podcast, Jim Ross reminisced about Hulk Hogan’s notorious reputation when he came back to WWE in 2002, describing him as “not fun to deal with.” Ross went on to say that Hogan was unreasonably paranoid about holding onto his position and felt everyone was trying to undermine him. He even labeled Hogan as a “pain in the ass” and “high maintenance” during that time.
