The Birds of a Feather singer donned a chic all-black ensemble—a high-neck, long-sleeved top combined with snug-fitting pants and stylish riding boots. With her long, dark hair secured in a neat ponytail, she kept her makeup minimal for her laid-back outing. This sighting comes shortly after her public run-in with tech mogul Elon Musk.
Things got heated for Eilish after she became entangled in a back-and-forth with Musk. Recently, she made headlines for her sharp criticism of the wealthy, which sparked a significant conversation about wealth distribution.
Earlier this month, Billie made headlines after donating earnings from her Hit Me Hard and Soft tour while also expressing her views on Musk, who is poised to become the first trillionaire due to a hefty salary from Tesla.
She didn’t hold back, calling out Musk for being a “pathetic billion-dollar coward” for accumulating wealth instead of sharing it.
Musk didn’t take kindly to her remarks and responded on social media, implying that Eilish wasn’t one of the brightest individuals when she encouraged wealthy people like him to help address global issues. His rebuttal only added fuel to an ongoing exchange that began earlier this month.
The tension initially ignited when Eilish, during her acceptance speech at the WSJ Innovator Awards in late October, spoke directly to billionaires in attendance. Standing in a room filled with well-heeled guests, including Mark Zuckerberg, she boldly questioned, “If you’re a billionaire, why are you holding onto all that cash?”
During her speech, she emphasized the urgent need for empathy in the face of growing global struggles, noting, “Right now, the world is pretty dark. People need help more than ever, especially in our own country.”
Eilish’s call to action included urging wealthy individuals to donate their resources to those in dire need, suggesting, “If you have money, why not use it for something good and help those in trouble?”
In tandem with her speech, she crafted several infographics shared on Instagram showing how Musk could contribute towards combating world hunger.
Furthermore, it was announced that she would donate a whopping $11.5 million from her tour to different charities and organizations, setting an example for others who are financially well-off to do the same.
