In the glitzy world of Hollywood, Elizabeth Olsen stands out with her unique perspective on fame and fashion.

At 36, she strikes a balance between being relatable and reserved, showing boldness while retaining a calm demeanor. Her style is effortlessly elegant, yet she doesn’t follow the trend of splurging on designer clothes—except for the label The Row.

Expressing her thoughts during an interview with InStyle Magazine, which features her on the cover, Olsen says, “I don’t know how to put on a performance for the public, nor do I wish to.”

“I want audiences to see me as a character when they watch my films,” Olsen shares.

In her profile, writer Jason Sheeler mentions that she favors vintage outfits—including her classic Cartier watch and timeless Levi’s—and often wears hand-me-downs from her sisters, who are behind The Row.

Having fashion-forward sisters certainly gives a pass to her vintage-only policy, right?

She also finds reasons to splurge, particularly on items designed by Phoebe Philo of Celine fame. During the interview, Olsen recalled having to buy a pair of shoes used by her character in a pilot project because they were just too amazing to resist.

But this doesn’t mean she avoids shopping altogether. “I enjoy buying food and home decor items—linens and a collection of tiny tables,” she admits.

When it comes to skincare, however, she doesn’t bat an eye spending her cash. Thanks to her radiant complexion, it’s clear her approach works. “I spend money on skin products and laser treatments, but not on clothes. I prefer to invest in maintaining my skin’s elasticity,” Olsen explains.

Starting her journey in independent films before joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe, she is now juggling new projects, including a romantic comedy she recently finished filming.

Olsen’s style reflects her authentic self, capturing timeless elegance both on screen and off. It’s a formula that clearly resonates well with her audience.
