TikTok has officially gone from an app for the Youths to my new obsession. I truly learn something new from it every day. Recently, I—and many other people on the web—learned that drive-thru employees can watch you while you order. The revelation came from a viral TikTok of a woman singing to customers when they pulled up at her Starbucks window.

TikTok user @xoxobritttt, posted her first video on February 14, and the video now has over 625,000 likes and 2,000 comments. In the short clip, you can see footage from the drive-thru where customers order and you hear Brittney surprise them by casually singing "Thank you for pulling into Starrrrrbuuuucks."

From the camera we can see a female passenger smiling and laughing and the driver looking shocked and confused. The facial expressions are very on point and then Brittney says normally, "What can I get for you?" The TikTok totally blew up, but not necessarily because people thought it was funny (even though it definitely is).

The comments section was practically flooded with people finding out that drive-thru workers can see them when they order. The original video was even reposted onto Twitter with the caption, "Apparently the drive thru workers can see you when you order???? idk how to explain it but i feel violated." Most people were just embarrassed by the faces they make when ordering.

I definitely assumed there were some sort of cameras at drive-thru menus for safety purposes, which makes these surprised reactions even more entertaining to watch. Since posting her first video, Brittney now has six different videos of Starbucks customers reacting to her funny singing.

Brittney told Delish that she was singing to her customers long before she started posting them on TikTok as a way to brighten their day. "When I originally started singing to my customers in the drive-thru I was trying to make them smile... I usually work nights so I get them at the end of their day and I just hope to make their day a little bit better," she said.

Brittney thought that other people would get a laugh out of the videos too, which is why she started to post them on TikTok: "I wanted to reach even more people and make their days a little better and make them smile too so I started posting them and I was blown away by how many people love it."

She said that out of all of her videos, the first one to go viral is her favorite because of how caught off-guard the customers were. "I do get other customers that sing their orders back to me as well but I haven't been able to catch any on camera yet unfortunately!" she said.
