Zac Brown, known for his catchy country tunes about chicken and beer, has made headlines with an impressive weight loss journey, shedding over 65 pounds and transforming his appearance.
In a recent chat with GQ, he revealed the crucial elements behind his impressive transformation: a mix of discipline, sobriety, and NAD therapy.
For Brown, the key change came from finally committing to the discipline that his journey required.
He shares, “If we indulge in everything we want—drinking beer, feasting on pizza, and lounging around—we won’t achieve our goals. It’s about doing what we need to do to actually reach where we want to be.” He emphasizes that conquering the urge to indulge allows for a higher level of discipline in life.

While discipline was crucial, Brown also took a hard look at his diet by cutting out gluten, dairy, sugar, and alcohol.
As someone who’s constantly on the road, alcohol had been a significant hurdle for him.
“I’ve had my share of drinking, but I’ve retired from that phase now,” Brown reflects. He encourages others feeling stuck to just take the plunge for a month to see the changes.
Additionally, part of Brown’s lifestyle shift includes incorporating NAD (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide) supplements, a crucial player in energy production, cell repair, and metabolism.
“Invest in how you feel,” he advises anyone looking to embark on their weight loss journey. Brown mentions that seeing tangible results has made it easier for him to sacrifice short-term desires for longer-term success.
