'I’m lucky to be here' | Innocent driver's car T-boned by teens at the end of chase An innocent driver says he only suffered minor injuries and is lucky to be alive after his car was T-bone by a group of juveniles fleeing police during a chase early Friday. This happened around 3 a.m. in the 10200 block of Greenfork and the Beltway 8 northbound feeder road in west Houston. The victim, Fahad Maniar, says he heard sirens and started to slow down when the suspect vehicle came out of nowhere and blindside him. Maniar says he suffered minor injuries and did not need to be transported to a local hospital. However, he says he saw a couple of the juveniles from the other car loaded up into an ambulance. There conditions were not known.

A resident shot a person during an apparent road rage incident outside a home in northwest Harris County, deputies said Sunday.

Lt. Randy Rush said deputies responded to Royal Mile at Tain at about 1:30 a.m.

Investigators believe drivers in two vehicles, a silver Toyota Camry and a red Ford F-150, were involved in a dispute.

A neighbor went outside and told them to leave, but that’s when the Camry driver allegedly tried to run over the resident. The resident opened fire and shot the Camry’s driver, according to deputies. The pickup driver fled the scene.

The Camry driver is expected to survive. The resident who opened fire was detained for questioning as the investigation continues.

Man killed in Katy road rage incident

Man killed in Katy road rage incident A road-rage incident escalated into a homicide early Saturday in Katy. Now, Harris County Sheriff deputies are searching for a man who they think shot and killed the other driver. Shortly after midnight Saturday deputies responded to reports of a shooting on Morton Ranch Road, authorities said. They found a white man in his 30's with a gun wound to his chest. The injured male, who had been driving a gray Toyota Camry, was reportedly in a road rage incident  with a man driving a black Dodge Charger starting at Mason Road and Interstate 10, authorities said.

Deputies said multiple shell casings were found in the front yard of the resident’s home.

There were no witnesses to the shooting, but residents said they could hear engines racing through the neighborhood shortly before the confrontation and gunfire.

Woman slain in possible road rage shooting was generous wife, mother.
A fatal shooting possibly linked to a rage incident took the life of a Katy area woman who was dedicated to helping others, including people in need in her Caribbean homeland, her family said Wednesday. Saron Jones' relatives described her as a generous and godly woman who often sent barrels of goods to her native St. Vincent Island as well as other communities. The 62-year-old woman was on her way home from a doctor's appointment Tuesday night when gunfire struck her vehicle in northwest Harris County. Authorities said they believe she and her husband were "complete innocent victims" and caught in the middle of gunfire.
