The case of Savannah Spurlock, theafter leaving a Lexington bar, will be spotlighted in a new series.
"The Missing," a new series that will air on, will feature Spurlock's story Friday, according to a network spokesperson.
Spurlock will be featured in one of the first five episodes of the series, which viewers can also watch through the. A second set of five episodes will be released on the app on Aug. 2, the spokesperson said.
Kentucky police, FBI searching home linked to Savannah Spurlock's disappearance
Several law enforcement agencies began a search Wednesday night of what is believed to be the last known location of missing Kentucky mom Savannah Spurlock who disappeared seven months ago after leaving a bar in January, officials said. Spurlock, a mom of four who had given birth to twins in December, was last seen on surveillance video Jan. 4 after leaving the Other Bar in Lexington with two men. Lt. Col. Rodney Richardson, assistant chief of police with the Richmond Police Department, told Fox News that Spurlock’s last known location was at a home in Garrard County – located some 40 miles from the bar.
According to Investigation Discovery, "The Missing" will investigate "tragic missing persons through the lens of the unwavering souls who have dedicated their lives to finding answers. Viewers will hear the heart-wrenching stories of those who have gone missing from loved ones they left behind.”
What happened to Savannah Spurlock?:
Spurlock, a 23-year-old mother of four, was last seen leaving The Other Bar in Lexington with three men in the early hours of Jan. 4 after a night out with friends.
Police have said they do not believe Spurlock knew the men prior to meeting them that night.
Police also have said the group drove to a home in Garrard County, about an hour's drive south of Lexington.
Authorities discover remains in search for woman missing since January
Savannah Spurlock went missing from a bar in January.
Family members previously told the Courier Journal that during that drive, Spurlock's mother called her daughter, having expected her back at the home they shared in Richmond.
Spurlock assured her mother she'd be home in the morning.
What happened after that remains a mystery.
The three men have been interviewed by authorities, but no arrests have been made.
Spurlock's family has since offered a $15,000 reward and has set up tip boxes around Garrard County where people can leave information that could help solve the case.
They have also hired a private investigator to help with the case.

Police: Man arrested after human remains found during search for missing Kentucky mother
Kentucky State Police say a man has been arrested after human remains were found during a search for a Kentucky mother of four who disappeared in January. Trooper Robert Purdy tells news outlets that the remains were found late Wednesday in a residential neighborhood in Garrard County. Twenty-three-year-old Savannah Spurlock was last seen leaving a Lexington bar with several men. Police say a tip reported Wednesday afternoon led authorities to search the property, which belongs to relatives of a potential suspect. News outlets say the property was initially searched during the early stages of the investigation.
