Inmate dies after being found unresponsive at Oklahoma County Jail, authorities say
Authorities are investigating the death of an inmate who died after being found unresponsive at the Oklahoma County Jail, according to officials with the Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office. Daryl Clinton, 56, was booked into the jail on Aug. 6 after he was involved in a one-vehicle car crash in Oklahoma City. Clinton was taken to the hospital before being booked into the jail on a complaint of possession of controlled dangerous drugs with intent to distribute, officials said. After being booked into the jail, officials said Clinton was placed under medical evaluation. He was found unresponsive around 4 a.m. on Aug.
A man died Wednesday evening after he was shot in the head in northwest Oklahoma City.
Shortly after 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, officers responded to the London Square Apartments in the 7600 block of Northwest Sixth Street, near the intersection of Melrose Lane and North Council Road. When police arrived, they found a man with a gunshot wound to the head.
The man was taken to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The victim has been identified as Milo Travis, 36.
Police have not arrested anyone in connection with the police department's 49th homicide investigation of 2019. Anyone with information about the case is asked to call the homicide tip-line at 405-297-1200.
Man arrested, accused of threatening to shoot up St. Anthony Hospital in OKC
A Choctaw man is in custody after being accused of making a threat against St. Anthony Hospital in Oklahoma City, police officials confirmed. According to police, officers responded to a domestic incident in Choctaw, and a female victim was taken to St. Anthony Hospital near Northwest 10th Street and Classen Boulevard in Oklahoma City. Police said a male suspect involved in the domestic situation called and threatened to show up at the hospital, assault the victim and “shoot up the hospital.” The hospital was placed on lockdown. The man was taken into custody late Monday night in Choctaw by police officers there. No names have been released.

Two officers have been placed on paid administrative leave after shots were fired during an incident overnight in northwest Oklahoma City. Shortly after 10:30 p.m. Monday, officers responded to an alarm call at an address in the 3400 block of Northwest 25th Street. When two officers arrived, they knocked on the front door and could see a man come toward the door with a gun pointed at them, according to a news release. The officers retreated and fired their weapons at the suspect, who retreated back further into the house and eventually was convinced to come outside, the news release stated. Police learned the suspect was the homeowner.
