Police are looking for a 19-year-old man they say shot a woman in York on Tuesday afternoon. The suspect is Jervin Perez, 19, of York. He is charged with: - Criminal attempted homicide - Aggravated assault - Persons not to possess a firearm Police said the victim, identified only as a 28-year-old woman from York, and witnesses identified Perez. Police said Perez fired several times at the woman. One shot hit her in the legs and fractured one of her femurs. Chicago police officer shot: Manhunt underway for a suspect
A manhunt is underway in Chicago for a man authorities believe shot a police officer on Saturday, as well as a woman earlier in the week. Michael Blackman, 45, is wanted on suspicion of shooting a Chicago police officer Saturday morning on the city's South Side, in the 1900 block of West 65th Street, authorities said.The officer was taken to a hospital, where he or she was "completing surgery and is in stable condition," Chicago police spokesman Anthony Guglielmi said. Blackman also is a suspect in a separate shooting, which injured a woman Wednesday morning in the city's Fulton River District, Chicago police said.

A woman was injured in a shooting in York, according to police.
Officers said they responded around 2:15 p.m. Tuesday to the 200 block of Kurtz Avenue to a shots-fired call and found the victim.
The woman was taken to a hospital, where she was listed in stable condition, police said.
Officials with the York City School District said that as a precaution, a shelter in place order was put into effect at William C. Goodridge Academy, McKinley K-8, Jackson K-8 and William Penn SHS. That order has since been lifted, officials said.
Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call York County Crime Stoppers at 755-TIPS or the York City Police Tip Line at 717-849-2204. People can also submit tips online through CrimeWatch.
