Man accused of Virginia Beach drunk hit-and-run pleads guilty
A family can now have closure after the man police said was responsible for its mother's death pleaded guilty. Anthony Spence pleaded guilty to Aggravated Involuntary Manslaughter for a drunk hit-and-run in June 2018. According to family, Maria Fox was a mother, grandmother and great grandmother and lived her life with forgiveness before she was hit and killed by a drunk driver on N. Great Neck Road at River Road. PROVIDENCE -- A 48-year-old Cranston man last week pleaded no contest to driving while intoxicated,on Route 6 in Providence.
Alpha Williams is scheduled to be sentenced by Superior Court Justice Joseph A. Montalbano on Nov. 12.
According to a news release from Attorney General Peter Neronha, Williams was fleeing police after a traffic stop in Johnston on March 27, 2018. He was on Route 6 in Providence when he lost control and crashed. Williams' blood-alcohol level was found to be above the legal limit, according to the news release.

71-year-old, 2 children killed in Belleview crash; man charged with DUI manslaughter .
A man from Ocala faces charges of DUI manslaughter after a 71-year-old man and two children were killed in a crash. Authorities said Stephen Lynn of Ocala was heading east on County Road 484 and heading toward the intersection of County Road 467. Sign up for our Newsletters According to troopers, Lynn failed to stop at a traffic light, and collided with the passenger side of a car driven by Emilio Nunez. Troopers said Nunez’s car overturned after being hit and landed on its roof in a ditch. Officials said two people in Nunez’s car were pronounced dead at the scene, while another was pronounced dead at a hospital.
