  24-year-old Nashville woman charged in shooting death of her 23-year-old girlfriend Keriesha Majors faces a criminal homicide charge stemming from the fatal shooting of Kaylin Smith in the Bordeaux neighborhood. A Metro Nashville police investigation found the women were visiting an apartment Sunday morning when an argument turned physical. Smith was killed after she and Majors stepped outside, police said in a news release on Sunday. Majors left the scene but later surrendered to officers downtown, police said. She is jailed on a $600,000 bond.

Elizabeth City Police charged a 19-year-old man in connection with a shooting at a convenience store that sent one person to the hospital Saturday night.

Kaleb Mathais Bilger is charged with assault with a deadly weapon with the intent to kill or inflict serious injury, robbery with a dangerous weapon and discharge of a firearm in a city.

Police officers responded to shots fired around 7:22 p.m. at Han-Dee Hugo's at 101 Alexander Court.

Bilger's vehicle was stopped by police near the shooting.

A male victim was taken to the hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening.

Bilger is in Albemarle District Jail under a $101,500 secured bond.

A 17-year-old suspect has been charged as an adult in the shooting death of a 26-year-old man in Stillwater, according to police. According to police, Coryon Maryell Leray Thomas is charged with first-degree murder in the death of 26-year-old Mandrale Alexander Henry. The shooting occurred early Sunday morning at a home in southwest Stillwater. Sign up for our Newsletters Police said they received a 911 call at 4:15 a.m. reporting the shooting at a home in the 4100 block of W. Westbrook. The caller told the operator her stepson had just shot her boyfriend. Thomas was taken into custody at the scene without incident by responding officers, according to police.
