Police: Body found in Woodbridge; apparent homicide related to New Haven missing person
WOODBRIDGE - Police in Woodbridge say they are investigating an 'apparent homicide' related to a missing person report from New Haven. Police say a body was discovered last evening in a wooded area off Woodfield Road, and it is 'related to a report of a missing person' that is being investigated by the New Haven Police Department. FOX61 has requested information from New Haven Police, but have so far had not commented on the investigation.Woodfield Road had been closed off by police this morning; it reopened shortly before 10 a.m. The road is heavily wooded with only a few homes.

Abdur Terrell, 28, of New Haven, died of gunshot wounds to the neck, torso and right upper extremities, officials said. His death was ruled a homicide.
Terrell’s body was found Sunday morning near Woodfield Road, Woodbridge police said.
The incident was related to a missing person investigation out of New Haven, according to Sgt. A.J. Cappiello.
In a release, Police Chief Frank Cappiello said the matter remains under investigation.
“Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the body of a deceased male that was located Saturday evening in a wooded area along Woodfield Road,” Cappiello said. “Anyone with information is asked to contact the Woodbridge Police Department at (203) 387-2511.”
Police investigate deadly double shooting in Southeast, DC .
D.C. police are investigating a double shooting that claimed the life of a person in Southeast D.C. early Tuesday morning. Police said officers responded to the reported shooting in the area of Pomeroy Road near Stanton Road around 1 a.m. Authorities said the two shooting victims were taken to a hospital where one of them died. At this time, police have no information on a possible suspect. Police ask anyone with information on this shooting to call them.
