FAIRFIELD – A 55-year-old Fairfield Township man was shot to death in the early morning hours of Thanksgiving Day, the Cumberland County Prosecutor's Office confirmed on Monday.

The victim is identified as Frank Najee-Ullah of 1188 Buckshutem Road, where New Jersey State Police say the shooting took place.

Prosecutor Jennifer Webb-McRae said state police from Bridgeton responded at 2:55 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 28 to a call for a shooting victim.

The Harris County Sheriff’s Office and paramedics responded to reports of a shooting at a home on Hershe and Manor in the Cloverleaf area. Deputies said there was a disturbance among a large group gathered at the house, and a man was shot multiple times. The victim was taken to the hospital but later died. Webb-McRae said Najeeh-Ullah was found to have been shot several times. He was taken to an Inspira health Network hospital, where he died.

The state police Major Crimes Unit and county detectives are conducting the investigation, according to the prosecutor.

Two teenagers have been charged with murder in connection with a crash that claimed two lives on Wednesday. Atlanta police said Marguell Scott and Emmanuel Fambro, both 19, are charged with felony murder after two people were killed when a stolen Jeep being pursued by police collided head-on with another vehicle in Atlanta.
