Back in May, Hicks had progressed to the point where he was able to throw multiple 20-pitch bullpen sessions. About six weeks have elapsed since that time, but it doesn’t seem that Hicks is yet at the point where he can immediately contribute.
A shooting in Rochester, N.Y. sent six people to area hospitals in the early hours of Saturday, according to police.
None of the injuries is thought to be life-threatening.
Officers with the Rochester Police Department were dispatched to the scene around 1:30 a.m., after reports of a fight in the city’s north side.
When they arrived at the scene, officers heard a number of gunshots and found a large group of people.
Two men had been shot at least once. They were taken to a hospital for evaluation and treatment. Four other men later arrived at the hospital by private vehicles, according to investigators.
As police began securing the area, a car sped away from the scene, but crashed into two parked vehicles. None of the three people in the car were injured. The 28-year-old female driver was arrested for DWI.
Police say that all six victims are Rochester residents between the ages of 24 and 33. All are expected to recover.
The investigation is still ongoing.

A gunman shot and killed the 20-year-old son of a federal judge in New Jersey and shot and injured her husband Sunday at the family home.The FBI, Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office and North Brunswick police are among numerous law enforcement agencies looking for the person responsible. The shootings occurred at the North Brunswick home of U.S. District Judge Esther Salas, and killed her son, Daniel, Chief District Judge Freda Wolfson told The Associated Press. Her husband, defense lawyer Mark Anderl, was injured, Wolfson said.
