Brandel Chamblee went on thepodcast Sub Par this week and was asked whether he still believed was the biggest underachiever in golf history. Chamblee proudly said yes, citing a few two-year stretches where Tiger under-performed and suggested that he should have won 10 more majors.
"I would argue that Tiger's got the least out of his talent of any player, maybe in history."
On the latest, stands by (and backs up) his past remarks on Tiger and where his major total should be today.
Bryson DeChambeau wins Rocket Mortgage Classic by 3 shots
DETROIT (AP) — Bryson DeChambeau got the result he was looking for from transforming his body. With jaw-dropping drives and some clutch putts, DeChambeau won the Rocket Mortgage Classic by three strokes Sunday for his first victory of the season and sixth overall. DeChambeau shot a 7-under 65 at Detroit Golf Club, birdieing four of the first seven holes and closing with three straight. He finished at a career-best 23-under 265. Just as a reminder, Tiger Woods has won 14 Major Championships, the second most of all-time. To suggest he somehow left 10 out there like they were grocery store circulars that he didn't grab out of his mailbox is just silly.
Chamblee originally said this in. For a counterpoint, let's go to Brandel Chamblee in a September 2018 appearance on CNBC where he calls Tiger, " ."
"Nobody has ever played golf like Tiger Woods. Nobody's ever handled pressure like Tiger Woods. Nobody's ever won by a wider margin than Tiger Woods."
It's hard to know who is right, but it's probably not the guy who said Tiger Woods would.

Mad-dy shack! Jon Rahm slams club in anger despite having seven-shot lead .
CBS broadcaster and golf legend Nick Faldo was critical of Rahm for the outburst. Nick Faldo sayin “CHILL, DUDE!” after Rahm slammed his club was a tv moment I needed pic.twitter.com/31EIY5dFUk — Chris Vernon (@ChrisVernonShow) July 19, 2020 Rahm was coming off a bogey on the 10th hole, so you can understand why he was unhappy with that stretch of play. Still, an inability to control his emotions when things are going poorly has plagued him in the past.Of course, this is the same Rahm who once ripped into himself over a beautiful shot at the Masters.
