2021 Fantasy Football Keeper/Dynasty League Tips, Draft Strategy Advice

2021 Fantasy Football Keeper/Dynasty League Tips, Draft Strategy Advice Check out our draft strategy advice and roster management tips for dynasty and keeper leagues so you can dominate your league in 2021 and beyond.Keeper/dynasty leagues encourage you to value youth and always be mindful of the way a player's career is trending. In a dynasty start-up draft, rookies will be taken much higher than in a typical yearly league (for obvious reasons). The beautiful thing about dynasty leagues is that it operates much like the real NFL -- some teams are in win-now mode; others are building for the future. Still others are stuck right in the middle of a lukewarm hell.

We also have injury updates on "questionable" players in prime-time games, including A.J. Brown (click here), David Montgomery (click here), and Ben Roethlisberger (click here).

Is CeeDee Lamb playing Week 9?

Lamb (ankle) looks truly "questionable" after missing practice on Thursday and getting in a limited session on Friday. This is apparently a new injury for Lamb, who suffered the setback during practice on Wednesday. He'll be a game-time decision for the Cowboys' matchup against the Broncos.

If Lamb is out, it's tough to know what to say about Dallas's other receivers. Amari Cooper (hamstring) is also "questionable," and with Michael Gallup (calf) still out, Cedrick Wilson could see some more touches. Whoever plays will have considerable value in Dallas's high-powered offense. Assuming Lamb is active, he remains a must-start.

Justin Fensterman from Fantasy Alarm provides tips and strategy advice for navigating your 2021 auction, from nominations to bidding to budgeting. For those unfamiliar, in auction drafts, each team gets a budget of hypothetical money to bid on players. The standard is a $200 budget per team. The snake draft format is replaced with a nomination order that goes from top to bottom each round. The nominator gets 20-30 seconds to select a player, and once the bidding begins, a running clock starts which determines how long the player is up for nomination.

Fantasy Football Start 'Em Sit 'Em: Week 9 lineup advice, best matchups, DFS picks Start Adrian Peterson and Derrick Gore? Just what the hell is going on here? We try to figure it all out and help with your Week 9 fantasy start 'em, sit 'em decisions. Get lineup advice and NFL DFS tips. It's another four-team bye week, with Washington, Detroit, Seattle, and Tampa getting the week off. We'll miss key players from every team, and when you combine that with some of the injury/inactive worries (Saquon Barkley, James Robinson, Dak Prescott, Calvin Ridley, Noah Fant, Sterling Shepard, etc.), fantasy owners are forced to dig deep for at least a couple starters. If you assess the matchups, study the usage trends, and balance risk-vs.

Is Rashod Bateman playing Week 9?

Bateman (groin) didn't practice on Friday, but Ravens' coach John Harbaugh said Friday that the injury was a "minor physical issue" and implied Bateman had a good chance of suiting up against the Vikings.

The rookie wide receiver has been a solid producer the past few games, but with Sammy Watkins (hamstring) also "questionable" and possibly suiting up, Bateman's outlook is a little cloudier. If Bateman is active, consider him a flex, especially if Watkins is also active. If Bateman is out and Watkins is active, consider the veteran WR a low-end, deep-league flex.

Updated Fantasy Football Superflex Rankings 2021: Top 200 for standard leagues

Updated Fantasy Football Superflex Rankings 2021: Top 200 for standard leagues Whether you play in dedicated two-QB leagues or simply superflex formats, these are the fantasy football rankings for you. See how much the value of quarterbacks, even the sleepers and backups, is inflated when everyone is gunning for two good ones.Even high-upside backups, like Teddy Bridgewater, Mac Jones, and Trey Lance are going to be drafted, so you can imagine how that drives up the value of the bona fide studs. Patrick Mahomes is universally understood to be the 1.1 across all superflex and two-QB formats. It can be a weird adjustment to change your way of thinking about the quarterback position, but it's just something you have to prepare for.

Is Kenny Golladay playing Week 9?

Golladay (knee) was limited in practice on Thursday and Friday, but beat writer Dan Duggan from The Athletic reported Saturday that Golladay is expected to play against the Raiders this week.

With Sterling Shepard (quad) out, Golladay should be in line for regular targets. However, the Giants' receiver situation has been a mess all year, largely because of injuries. It's always tough to know how things will work out, but Golladay has at least flex value given his touchdown upside. If he's out, expect a lot of targets for Kadarius Toney and New York's tight ends.

Is Cole Beasley playing Week 9?

Beasley (ribs) managed to get in a limited session on Friday after missing practice on Wednesday and Thursday. He's officially "questionable" for Buffalo's game against Jacksonville.

It's possible Buffalo is more likely to hold out Beasley given the inferior opponent, but the late-week upgrade is a good sign. If Beasley plays, he'll be a solid WR3/high-end flex in all formats. If he's out, Gabriel Davis would get a big bump in value, as his arrow was already pointing up thanks to the absence of TE Dawson Knox (hand).

Is Amari Cooper playing Week 9?

Cooper (hamstring) doesn't appear to be as "questionable" as Lamb, but he's nonetheless listed that way ahead of Dallas' game against Denver. The veteran receiver got in limited practices all week.

Cooper's situation is similar to Lamb's. If he plays, he's a must-start. He could have even more value if Lamb and/or Gallup is out. If Cooper is out, Wilson will have WR3/flex value, but TE Dalton Schultz could also benefit, too. Chances are, you won't have to worry about Cooper, though, so slot him into your lineup for now.
