Cincinnati places men's basketball coach John Brannen on leave after rash of transfers
Cincinnati coach John Brannen has been suspended. “University of Cincinnati Director of Athletics John Cunningham announced men’s basketball head coach John Brannen has been placed on paid administrative leave as of Saturday, April 3, 2021, pending the completion of a University review into the program,” the school's statement said. “The University announced on March 26 it was reviewing allegations related to the program along with independent fact finders.” According to The Athletic, the investigation comes after an external review was launched in March.
Since the confinement of the month of November, the Perpignan music conservatory broadcasts many concerts and operas to ensure educational continuity for the 3,000 students.
The seats are empty, the doors closed, but the theater of the pond in Saint-Estève, a few kilometers from Perpignan, live live the show the tragedy of Carmen. Three automatic cameras have been driven from the Régie and the actors evolve on stage as in real conditions.
"Since the beginning of November, we only have streams because we are forbidden to play in public. This has been our life buoy compared to our pedagogical season," says Guillaume Ribeyrolles, General Theater Regulator. The Director of the Theater, Anne Cancalon, rejoices the success of this device. "The concert that a month ago has allowed us to harvest 2000 views. It's absolutely huge for a first. It's hot in the heart and we also have messages of all kinds, emails, people who pass, who just call to say: strongly we see again. We need it ".
Ensuring the pedagogical continuity of schools
These streamings are primarily intended to ensure the pedagogical follow-up of 3000 schools, which are deprived of connection with the world of culture. But with these digital broadcasts, the Perpignan music conservatory expands its audience, as its director Daniel Tosi said. "There are people from Lille, Paris, from Rennes who will look at this tragedy of Carmen," he says. The show is to be seen for a week on the Youtube channel of the Conservatory of Perpignan.
