Tesla has just announced some thrilling updates for their hit Model 3, focusing on battery improvements and user-friendly features.
As reported by CarBuzz, the updated Model 3 now comes with a new LG battery containing more densely packed cells, designed to significantly increase the car’s range. Plus, in response to driver feedback, Tesla has shifted the turn signals back to a traditional lever beside the steering wheel instead of a button on the wheel itself.
This enhanced battery can achieve a remarkable range of up to 466 miles on a single charge, making it one of the leaders in electric vehicle (EV) range. It’s just behind the Lucid Air, which manages an impressive 512 miles.
If you’re looking for something a bit easier on the wallet, Tesla has unveiled a budget-friendly option in Europe as well—this version uses a lithium-iron-phosphate battery and offers a range of 344 miles.
With continuous advances in EV range technology, now is really a great time to consider purchasing an EV. Not only can you save on fuel and maintenance costs, but you’ll also be driving a zero-emission vehicle, significantly reducing your carbon footprint.
Charging at home has never been simpler or more economical than relying on public chargers—many people report savings of hundreds annually. Companies like Qmerit offer free installation estimates for home Level 2 charging systems, making it easier than ever.
Pair your home charging station with solar panels to maximize your savings further. You could avoid the grid and lower your energy costs significantly. EnergySage has free resources available to help connect you with reliable local installers, potentially saving you up to $10,000 on installation.
On a downside, the latest Model 3 features are currently available only in Europe. There’s no word yet on when they will reach the U.S. market. After a particularly rocky year in 2025, however, Tesla is keen on regaining its footing, so we can hope they’ll make that transatlantic journey soon!
