Is Qualcomm’s (QCOM) Automotive Push the Next Big Growth Opportunity?

Qualcomm Inc. (NASDAQ:QCOM) is gaining attention as one of thetop value stocks in Goldman Sachs’ arsenal. The firm’s innovative mobile communication technologies are driving growth in multiple fields, including mobile devices, computing services, and wireless applications worldwide.

According to a report by Adobe (NASDAQ:ADBE) dated September 18, Qualcomm is set to boost its services and optimize its marketing by implementing Adobe’s cutting-edge generative AI platform, GenStudio. This move is aimed at scaling up their content creation processes effectively. With the power of GenAI, they’ll be able to create and tailor content while also monitoring how well they deliver personal experiences.

But that’s not all—QCOM is also making significant strides in the automotive and IoT sectors. At the Deutsche Bank 2025 Technology Conference in late August, Nakul Duggal, the Group General Manager for Qualcomm’s Automotive, Industrial & Embedded IoT and Cloud Computing divisions, shared that the company’s hefty investments in software have led to an impressive compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 40% over the past five years. Industry forecasts suggest that Qualcomm’s revenue from automotive could soar to $9 billion by 2030, a significant jump from $4 billion projected for 2025.

Known as a leader in wireless technology, Qualcomm pioneered the development of 3G, 4G, and 5G connections. They design and license advanced semiconductor solutions, like their Snapdragon mobile processors that support various devices, from smartphones to automotive systems.

While there’s legitimate excitement about QCOM’s prospects, it’s essential to consider other AI stocks that might offer greater growth potential with reduced risk.
