Nigella Lawson has her own recipe for "thick, spongy American pancakes", perfect with maple syrip or even bacon. The recipe was featured in her book How To Be a Domestic Goddess, published in 2000.

It calls for a blender, although you can make these pancakes by hand too.

The recipe creates enough for four to six people, so adjust appropriately.

Break the eggs into the well and eat them in, along with the melted butter and milk.
