"Faced with this exceptional situation, it seemed important to us to take part in the various mobilizations" estimates Valérie Bauchêne, marketing director for the Panzani brand. “Student insecurity has particularly affected us,” she adds.
As of Monday, the famous Panzani brand is launching a donation campaign and will offer 40,000 packages of pasta for a week, or the equivalent of 200,000 meals. In collaboration with several associations that help students in need, the operation will take place around the two production sites of this agri-food giant: in Ile-de-France and in Marseille (Bouches-du-Rhône) .

In the region, it is indeed 10 tons of pasta that Panzani will give through its partner associations. The packages will be delivered in Paris to the Ground countrol (12th arrondissement) in Linkee, one of the associations. Between 3 and 4 tonnes will then be sent to other Panzani employees, such as Cop'1.
"There are more and more students"
For Julien Meimon, president of Linkee, the operation is "important and pleasing". It is above all "very useful": "it contributes to stocking our pantry. We are going to have stocks of pasta that will serve us for several distributions, ”he explains. Launched five years ago, the association operates in Ile-de-France and distributes nearly 150,000 packages of 6/7 kilos per month of fresh and dry products to students.
Linkee realized early on in the growing precariousness of students. For Julien Meimon, she was also "relatively underestimated". His association "responds to a considerable and unexpected demand". “There are more and more students,” he explains.
“The idea is to offer long-term food aid,” says Linkee, who wants lasting partnerships. On the side of Panzani, Valérie Bauchêne hopes that the operation will encourage other food companies to do the same.
