Labour MP Yasmin Qureshi has thanked 'excellent' NHS medics after she was discharged from hospital following a diagnosis of Covid-19 and pneumonia.

The MP for Bolton South East spent 10 days feeling unwell and decided to self-isolate at home, before her condition worsened and she was taken to hospital on Saturday.

Just under a week later, the shadow international development minister has been discharged from Royal Bolton Hospital.

The 57-year-old wrote on Twitter today: 'A quick message to say that, thanks to the excellent care I received at (Bolton NHS) over the last week, I have now been discharged from hospital.
