According to The Hollywood Reporter, celebrities are set to wear "Time's Up" pins on this week's Golden Globes red carpet as a way of showing their solidarity towards the initiative which aims to fight harassment, discrimination and inequality in the film and television industry.

The Hollywood Reporter has stated that Reese Witherspoon, one of the co-founders of the movement, tapped costume designer Arianne Phillips to design pins for award show season so that stars are easily able to display their support.

At the 2018 Golden Globes , many actresses (and actors) are wearing all-black to make a statement about sexual harassment in the entertainment industry and show support for Time' s Up. Here are all the details on the major movement.

Phillips told The Hollywood Reporter, "Reese asked me to come to the actors' group, and told me they were going to be wearing black and would I consider creating a pin for the nominees and male presenters. We were up against the holidays, but I said I could do it."

Phillips then went on to create 500 pins over two weeks. "I met so many great women, and it was such an honour to be called to action," she said.

In the past, celebrities have shown their solidarity towards specific causes in similar ways. Last year, Kerry Washington wore a safety pin on her dress at the SAG Awards to show that she supported marginalised groups, while several celebrities wore blue pins to the Oscars to show their support for the American Civil Liberties Union.
