Liu Wen and Rianne Van Rompaey complete the line-up, with all five models gracing the cover of the magazine's iconic May Beauty Issue, and sharing what beauty means to them.

Precious, the first African-American curve model to appear on the pages of U.S. Vogue, feels "honoured" to have been included in the special issue and revealed how her upbringing inspired her positive body image.

"I know people are not used to seeing confident, educated, happy, chunky African American girls, and I don't care," she told the magazine. "They're just going to have to get used to it.

"I am honoured to be the new face of Rimmel London and to be given this amazing platform to connect with people all over the world," Adwoa said in a statement on Thursday. "Being yourself isn't always that easy to do - and in the past I've really struggled with it.

"Being from the South has contributed so much to how my family has culturally embraced beauty. I'm so grateful I have my face and my body and I look how I look. Big ups to my parents because I'm such a cute half-and-half version of them. I have such stunning women in my family."

London-born Adwoa admitted she didn't think much about her looks growing up, explaining that her close family ties ensured she was always happy in her own skin.

"In my younger years, it wasn't that I didn't care, but I was young and innocent, so I hadn't even started thinking about (beauty)," she shared. "My family are proper tight, and I felt not necessarily beautiful, but I felt comfortable."

Hailey revealed that studying ballet in her childhood taught her how to keep her "body healthy" and mentally commit to her modelling career, which took off when she was just 17.

Liu, hailed as China's "first bona fide supermodel" by The New York Times, admitted she never thought of herself as beautiful when she was growing up because she stood out from the crowd.

"When I was young, no one told me I was beautiful," she said. "I was a very tall girl, and I grew up in Yongzhou, China. It's a city, but it's not a major one. I dressed more like a tomboy in very slouchy clothing. I was very humble because I didn't think of myself as beautiful."

Dutch fashion model Rianne confessed that she loved sporting "strange haircuts" when she was a child and felt "beautiful" because she looked different from other kids.
