Kate, Princess of Wales visited the maternity unit at the Royal Surrey County Hospital today (October 5), and her outfit has won the approval of royal fans. Kate donned a mustard yellow dress, a shade the Princess doesn't normally wear, by Karen Millen.

The Princess appeared to wear the brand's 'Structured Crepe Forever Pleat Belted Midi Dress', which currently retails online for £175.20.

Twitter user @KateMiddStyle wrote that Kate "looks like a ray of sunshine in this ochre Karen Millen dress today".

"Funnily enough, was on that site yesterday thinking how much they stocked that looked very 'Kate'."

In her hands, Kate carried a simple blue velvet clutch bag which perfectly matched the tone of her famous sapphire engagement ring.

Twitter user @aaronhickton highlighted how Kate's outfit was the same as the Prime Minister's earlier today at the Conservative Party Conference.

They wrote: "Quite unfortunate for #KateMiddleton today". The PM wore the same design in a rust brown colour.

And while Kate's skirt was pleated, the Prime Minister's was straight and knee-length.

Both high-profile women opted for different accessories to complete their smart ensembles.

Liz wore a pair of sheer black tights and black heels, cinching her waist with a black belt.

The PM also wore a gold hoop necklace, while the Princess opted to go necklace-free.

Kate wore a pair of small hoops earrings with dangling details and wore her hair in her signature waves.

Kate visited the Royal Surrey County Hospital in Guildford on Wednesday to hear about the holistic support it provides to pregnant women and new mothers.

The NHS maternity unit cares for about 3,000 babies every year, and the Princess' charitable interests are centred on the early years.

Last week, Kate and Prince William visited Wales for the first time in their new roles.

The Princess donned a bright red coat and smart trousers, with the colour likely chosen as a tribute to Wales.

The Royal Family spent many days thanking people for their support after the Queen died on September 8.

But now the royal mourning period is over, the royals are out and about again to support King Charles as his new reign begins, so the public may see more of Kate in the coming months.
