Take this BMW Z 8 convertible for example. It was once owned by Apple co-founder and CEO Steve Jobs . It’s going to be auctioned at Sotheby’s in New York this The car itself is in good condition and even though it has been driven regularly for 17 years , it only has 15,200 miles on the clock.

The Apple boss was never known as a car man, but he did own a succession of Mercedes SLs. Legend has it that he exploited a California loophole where he didn’t have to put registration plates on his car for the first six months of ownership. Because he didn’t like the way they affected the styling of the car, he traded it in and bought a new one every six months.

Steve Jobs BMW Z8 © Motor1.com UK Steve Jobs BMW Z8 The BMW Z8 saw Steve Jobs through some pivotal moments in the life of his company – in 2001 the first version of OS X was release, the iPod was launched and the first Apple store was opened up.

By 2003, the year that Jobs sold the BMW convertible, the iTunes Store was open for business on the internet, selling music for 89p a song. A novel idea, we do wonder whatever came of that.

Allardyce denies any contact with Everton

Allardyce denies any contact with Everton Sam Allardyce has spoken out saying that there have been no talks with him and Everton over a contract to take the Goodison Park hot seat. The former England boss was co-hosting talkSPORT’s Thursday sports breakfast show and was speaking about the Everton situation. There were rumours that Allardyce turned down a contract keeping him there just to the end of the season, but he squashed these rumours saying (via talkSPORT): “I wouldn’t be sat here if Everton were talking about a contract with me.” According to the 63-year-old, he has had no contact with Everton “in any way shape or form.” Allardyce has been out of work since leaving Crystal Palace in the summer and has previously spoken about international football being his preferred field, after being linked with the Scotland and US Soccer vacancies. The 63-year-old certainly would be a good candidate for the Merseyside club, with him doing similar jobs in the situation Everton are in with Crystal Palace, West Ham and Sunderland. Allardyce did, however, give Everton advice saying that they should put their ambitions to fight for Europe on hold while they focus on this season and getting out of their current situation, saying “The present day is the most important at this moment in time, but it’s got a bright future and it’s about how they plan for that bright future.” So Allardyce is still out of work and Everton are still without a manager, with David Unsworth still in command. The Toffees may contact the former England man, but as he says, there has been no contact at all yet.
